Top 60's revivalists, New Amen Corner storm Maryport Blues Festival...

Last weekend, saw top 60's revivalists the New Amen Corner headlining the 'Maryport Blues Festival' to great acclaim on the main stage.

The band were making their debut appearance at this year's festival, putting on a storming show with a little help from special guest vocalists, Chris Farlowe and Cliff Bennett; of Cliff Bennett and The Rebel Rousers fame. Original Rebel Rouser, Sid Phillips also appeared onstage...

The New Amen Corner peform nationwide and are rightly considered one of the best, if not the best UK 60's revival show. A real favourite nationwide in their own right, the New Amen Corner are also available with special guest vocalists, Steve Ellis (Love Affair), Chip Hawkes (The Tremeloes), Dave Berry, Mike D'Abo (Manfred Mann), Tony Crane (The Merseybeats) and of course Chris Farlowe and Cliff Bennett.

It was just a few weeks ago that our excellent 60s tribute band THE REVOLVERS performed at the Premiere after party for the launch of MADE IN DAGENHAM at 'Floridita' in London's West End...

Made in Dagenham is the latest film from the director of 'Calendar Girls', Nigel Cole...

The Revolvers put on a storming show with stars such as Rosamund Pike, Dominic Cooper and Jaime Winstone dancing the night away to the band. You can see them getting down to the band by clicking here

Caroline Lockyer-Nibbs, MD of London based events organisers Nibbs Events echoed those sentiments:-

'THE REVOLVERS' confirmed for post Premiere Party of 'MADE IN DAGENHAM'...

We are delighted to annouce that 'THE REVOLVERS' our brilliant 60's tribute band have been confimed to appear at a swish post premiere party on the 20th September for the launch of MADE IN DAGENHAM in London's bustling West-End...

MADE IN DAGENHAM is a new comedy-drama from the director of 'Calendar Girls' with an all star british cast that includes the likes of, Sally Hawkins Miranda Richardson, Bob Hoskins. Rosamund Pike etc

The film stars the award winning Sally Hawkins as Rita O'Grady who is the catalyst for the 1968 Ford Dagenham strike by 187 sewing machinists which led to the advent of the Equal Pay Act...
